Mission Opportunities

Lost Sheep Ministry

Grandview helps with The Lost Sheep Ministry  to feed the homeless in Knoxville. Each 2nd, 4th and 5th Wednesday evenings. Be prepared to leave the church at 6:00 P.M. The church van is used to transport as many as possible. Anyone who would like to participate in this wonderful ministry is encouraged to attend. You will be blessed!

We’re excited to share with you that the Lord has blessed our efforts and collectively we reached and surpassed our goal of 50 Christmas Backpacks For Appalachia by packing 52! We want to thank you for your loving example of caring for others, while planting the seeds of the Gospel, and we want to share a special thank you to Carol and Nathan Patterson for faithfully serving as our Missions Directors and leading our church in missions during such an unprecedented 2020.
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

It’s here!! Grandview’s Build a Shoebox Online Goal Page is set up and ready to use.  Just click on the link to build Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes online, to see how we are progressing toward our goal, and share the link on your social media pages to invite friends and family members to join Grandview Baptist Church in building shoeboxes to further the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Remember, the cost is $25 per box and that includes shipping.  Please use the link to Grandview’s page to build your boxes as that lets us see how we are doing toward our shoebox goal.
You can also build traditional boxes!  The boxes are available at church and you can shop and fill boxes.  They are due at church on Sunday morning, November 15th.

Our 2019 Samaritan Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box total was 490!  The gift filled shoe boxes after leaving GBC began their journey to children all over the world. The best part is that God already has a child chosen and prepared to receive the box that was packed for them!!! Thank you to each person that gave throughout the year, packed boxes at our annual packing party as well as prepared their own boxes to share with children.

Start collecting for the Samaritans Purse Shoe Box Ministry all year around!  A room has been set aside especially for your donations to this worthy ministry. Then, in November we will have our annual OCC Packing Party and fill the stage with our shoe box gifts and have a time of dedication as we prepare to send them around the world.

Remember, every shoe box offers an opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. For additional information please contact Margaret Loveday.
